This work started with the news of David Carradine’s odd and puzzling death. The drawings were first. They began as reactions, a response to the mystery; manifestations of my response to the news as it came out and as I heard it (random snippets from the radio, TV and conversations with people). This reactive approach evolved into a series of more directed tangents based around David Carradine, especially focusing on his defining role as Kwai Chang Caine in the early 1970’s TV series Kung Fu.
